TL;DR
  • Alexandra and Andrea Botez left Mizkif’s livestream after sitting ignored in the background while he played Mario Kart.
  • The sisters explained there was no drama – they simply didn’t want to waste time when they couldn’t actually join in.
  • What happened shows the difference between Austin and LA streaming scenes, with LA creators expecting to actually be involved in collaborations.

Chess streaming powerhouses Alexandra and Andrea Botez walked out of Mizkif’s Los Angeles home mid-livestream after getting pushed into the background while the OTK co-founder focused on playing Mario Kart.

The sisters, who had been invited as guests on the stream, were sitting behind Mizkif with hardly any chance to join in or even be heard by viewers. With microphones unable to pick up their voices from their spot and barely any interaction from their host, they decided to quietly leave.

Their exit at first slipped by Mizkif, who stayed locked in on his game. He only realized a while later that the Botez sisters had left the premises.

Andrea Botez later made it clear there was no bad blood between them and Mizkif. The sisters just didn’t see the point in sitting around if they weren’t actually part of the action.

This also isn’t the first time something like this has happened. There have been other guests who’ve left Mizkif’s streams after not getting to join in, like streamer Susu during the r/place event.

These days, both viewers and guest creators expect more interaction and engagement when there are multiple personalities on a stream.
