IShowSpeed’s attempt to visit the famous Breaking Bad house in Albuquerque ended before it even began. The YouTuber arrived at the private residence on Tuesday claiming he had permission from the owner to visit. But when he showed up with his security team and dozens of fans in tow, the homeowner immediately changed her mind.
The encounter was captured on Speed’s stream. As the crowd gathered outside the property, the owner told Speed to leave and warned she would call the police if he didn’t. Speed appeared surprised by the rejection, asking to talk with her while standing at the gate. The homeowner refused to engage further.
The house has been a tourist magnet since Breaking Bad aired from 2008 to 2013. It’s where Walter White lived in the show, and fans have been visiting ever since. The property owner, identified in past media reports as Joanne Quintana, has dealt with constant disruptions for over a decade.
The most notorious problem has been fans throwing pizzas onto the roof, recreating a famous scene from the show. It got so bad that Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan publicly asked people to stop. In 2017, the owners installed a tall fence around the property to keep trespassers out.
Speed is known for drawing massive crowds during his IRL streams. With tens of millions of followers across platforms, his public appearances regularly turn into chaotic scenes. His security team usually manages these situations, but showing up at a private residence with a mob of fans created an immediate problem.
Even if Speed did have prior permission to visit, property owners can revoke access at any time. The sudden appearance of a large, noisy crowd on a quiet residential street clearly crossed a line for the homeowner. Her threat to involve police ended any chance of Speed getting inside.
