The footage captures Speed approaching Dax and pushing for his signature loud reaction. Dax responds with the briefest possible “ah!” before immediately dialing back to his usual reserved demeanor. He repeats “okay” several times while glancing over his shoulder at other shoppers.
For those unfamiliar, Dax Flame pioneered awkward YouTube content genre in the late 2000s with vlogs that blurred reality and performance. His stilted delivery and uncomfortable energy made him an early viral sensation. He later appeared in the 2012 film Project X and became the subject of an iDubbbz documentary in 2020.
IShowSpeed represents the opposite end of the streaming spectrum. The 19-year-old has built a massive following through pure chaos energy. His IRL streams regularly feature him screaming, running through public spaces, and creating viral moments through sheer force of personality.
