Destiny set up an open-air debate on a college campus yesterday, but his outdoor session quickly turned hostile when a middle-aged man began shouting homophobic slurs at him.
The man, who witnesses say was not a student, repeatedly yelled explicit sexual insults at Destiny throughout the 40-minute outdoor portion. Multiple streamers captured the harassment on camera, with viewers noting the heckler appeared to be there specifically to disrupt the event.
Destiny is openly bisexual and often faces anti-LGBTQ attacks during his public appearances. The campus debate followed a format popularized by conservative speakers like Steven Crowder and Charlie Kirk—setting up a table outdoors and inviting anyone to debate or ask questions.
When fellow streamer NotsoErudite asked the heckler if he was a student, he deflected and walked away. Witnesses described him as an older man who showed up with what appeared to be his wife.
Despite the disruption, Destiny completed the outdoor session before moving to an indoor venue on the same campus. The indoor debate ran for two hours with better audio quality and no major interruptions.
Campus events like these regularly attract hostile crowds, regardless of the speaker’s political stance, just look at the recent murder of Charlie Kirk murder last week in Utah.
No physical altercations occurred and campus security did not intervene during the event. Destiny has not publicly commented on the harassment but continued streaming as normal after the campus appearance.
