The LTA North Grand Finals ended with more than just a trophy lift. After FlyQuest’s 3-1 victory over 100 Thieves, losing top laner Dhokla walked past Bwipo during the customary post-match handshake line, refusing to acknowledge his opponent.
The snub didn’t go unnoticed. Viewers immediately spotted the awkward moment as Dhokla greeted other FlyQuest players but bypassed their top laner entirely.
Hours later, Dhokla took to X to explain his decision. “For the people saying I have bad sportsmanship, don’t expect me to fist bump someone who flames my career personally while preaching about perseverance at the same time,” he wrote.
The statement points to previous comments Bwipo had made about Dhokla’s career trajectory. Earlier this season, the Belgian top laner had publicly criticized Dhokla during streams and interviews, questioning his development as a player.
Bwipo fired back on X with a surprising admission. He acknowledged that Dhokla “gapped me in 2/4 games” during the finals, essentially admitting he got outplayed in half their matchups. The FlyQuest top laner said he would have “happily celebrated Dhokla returning to form” if given the chance.
The timing makes Dhokla’s frustration more understandable. After starting the 2025 season without a team, he joined 100 Thieves mid-split and helped push them all the way to the grand finals. His individual performance against Bwipo proved he belonged on the big stage.
When keeping it real goes left
Despite losing the series, many observers noted that Dhokla played exceptionally well when not being targeted by FlyQuest’s jungler Inspired. The Canadian top laner won lane in multiple games, making Bwipo’s earlier career criticisms look particularly misguided.
The snub shows how personal tensions can overshadow competitive results. While FlyQuest celebrated their championship, the post-match drama became the biggest talking point of the night.
