AdHoc Studio released the official launch trailer for Dispatch and made episodes one and two available on PlayStation 5 and Steam. The narrative adventure comes from former Telltale developers and marks the studio’s first full release.
The season contains eight episodes total. AdHoc will drop the remaining six episodes in weekly pairs, with the final two arriving November 12, 2025. The studio says the full season is already complete—the staggered rollout is designed to encourage weekly discussion between drops.
Dispatch blends familiar Telltale-style choice-driven storytelling with a management layer. Players make dialogue choices and navigate branching scenes, but they also assign emergency responders to concurrent incidents under time pressure. Each decision locks resources into specific scenarios, forcing players to prioritize who gets help and who doesn’t.
Early reports suggest each episode runs 45 to 60 minutes. The first two episodes take most players around two hours combined, putting the full season at an estimated seven to nine hours depending on pace and replays. A free demo is available on PC for anyone wanting to test the waters.
Performance reports are positive. PS5 players say the game runs smoothly, and the demo shows solid performance on common PC hardware. The game doesn’t demand much technically. Dispatch works offline, but an optional online feature lets players view aggregated choice statistics at the end of each episode.
Screen actors meet online creators
The cast mixes established actors with well-known online personalities. Aaron Paul and Jeffrey Wright lead the voice roster. The ensemble also includes MoistCr1TiKaL (Charlie White), Jacksepticeye (Sean McLoughlin), Alanah Pearce, filmmaker Joel Haver, and several Critical Role voice actors.
Players who’ve finished the first episodes say the performances feel committed across the board. The creators aren’t just cameos—they’re playing actual roles with real screen time.
AdHoc Studio was founded by veterans who worked on The Wolf Among Us and other Telltale projects. The team had previously been connected to The Wolf Among Us 2 under the revived Telltale banner but has since focused on Dispatch as an independent project.
The game is available now on PS5 and PC. There’s no Xbox version at launch, and AdHoc hasn’t announced plans for additional platforms. The purchase price covers all eight episodes, with new pairs releasing every week through mid-November.
