AdHoc Studio’s Dispatch quickly rose through the indie ranks this year, hitting over three million players in 2025. To commemorate an incredibly successful launch year for its narrative superhero management game, AdHoc released a video showing off the stats its community achieved, as well as the popularity of the game’s pivotal choices.

Rising to prominence with its star-studded cast, Dispatch stole hearts across the industry with its cast of charming characters and its engrossing episodic storyline, bringing the Telltale style of game back with a bang. With such a strong start, the future of Dispatch is looking bright.

Recently, AdHoc released a 2025-wrapped video over on Bluesky, showcasing the game’s success. The stats shown include over three million players, 52.5 million completed shifts, 727 million answered calls, and over one billion dispatched heroes in total.

That’s all without including figures regarding Dispatch‘s online presence, with an estimated 340 million views across platforms (which includes a hefty 23 million watch hours across YouTube and Twitch).

AdHoc also showed off how the most popular choices during key story decisions. When forced to cut either Sonar or Coupé from the team, 2.8 million players axed Coop against the 1.6 million who sent Sonar packing. The Waterboy versus Phenomaman recruitment decision landed almost evenly, with 2.3 million adding underdog Waterboy and 2.0 million choosing Phenomaman.

The Invisigal choice showed stronger consensus. When pressured to cut the thief-turned-superhero, 2.4 million players refused, against the 1.1 million who followed through.

When it comes to romance, perhaps the hottest conversation surrounding the game, an interesting reveal came up. A total of 1.9 million players pursued Invisigal romantically, while 1.0 million went after Blonde Blazer. Invisigal outpacing Blazer isn’t totally surprising at all, though her having almost double the numbers is quite the gap.

Another 266,000 players ended up in a more complicated entanglement, while 164,000 kept things strictly professional.

Only the beginning for Dispatch

Dispatch‘s success has been something to behold, even if it was never really in question. With a stacked cast, Telltale alumni, and a more chilled-out subversion of superheroes against a backdrop of Invincible and The Boys, Dispatch had a lot going for it from the start.

That said, Dispatch managed to deliver everything it promised and more, giving it a solid place among the hit games of 2025. As 2026 rolls on, there’ll be all the more opportunities for Dispatch to keep wowing players, whether that’s with ports, DLC, or Season 2.
