T1 held a press conference following their 3–2 victory over KT Rolster in the 2025 League of Legends World Championship final. Faker opened up about his health and the team revealed their unconventional preparation strategy.

Faker said a health check-up before Worlds showed results that were “a little worse” than previous years. He stressed the decline was minor but emphasized he will manage his health more proactively next season.

“I believe that health is linked to performance,” Faker said. “Next year, I’ll manage my health more because of that.”

The 29-year-old mid laner added that aging makes him think more about posture and physical care. But he maintained that sustaining passion and the will to improve matters most for in-game performance.

When asked about his Worlds championship skin, Faker confirmed T1 will likely repeat last year’s approach. The team let fans vote to decide which champion would receive his commemorative skin in 2024. That vote resulted in an Orianna skin.

“I can’t say anything about the skin yet,” Faker said. “Like last year, we’ll probably let fans vote to decide which champion we choose.”

T1’s coaching staff and players detailed their finals preparation approach. The team held no scrims during the week leading up to the championship match.

Instead, they relied entirely on collected data to build their draft strategy. The focus centered on securing bot-lane advantages throughout the series.

Support Keria said he had another champion prepared for Game 5 but switched to Leona after the team’s draft discussion. The pick proved effective in the decisive final game.

The no-scrim strategy isn’t unprecedented at the highest level. Elite teams sometimes taper practice before major finals to preserve mental freshness. T1’s data-driven approach prioritized strategic preparation over mechanical drilling.

ADC Gumayusi briefly addressed his contract situation. He said he’ll approach the upcoming free agency period with the same mindset as last year when he signed a one-year deal with T1.

The 3–2 finals victory marked Faker’s sixth World Championship title. It also represented a significant moment in Korean League of Legends history as two legendary LCK organizations battled through all five games on the world stage.
