Patrick Blackwood and Nina Unrated were about to give their verdict on a burger at CuVee’s Culinary Creations in Houston when an SUV smashed through the front window and slammed directly into their table. The entire collision was caught on their camera setup as Patrick took his first bite.
The impact sent glass flying across the dining room and ripped both knees of Patrick’s jeans. Despite sitting right at the point of impact, both creators escaped with only minor cuts and soreness. Patrick immediately jumped up to shield Nina and help her away from the damaged storefront.
The driver was a woman arriving for a private event at the restaurant. According to witnesses, she attempted to beat traffic while making a left turn into the parking area. She panicked mid-maneuver and drove straight forward instead of completing the turn, sending her vehicle through the plate glass window.
The woman walked away mostly uninjured. No other patrons were hurt in the crash. Houston police responded to the scene, and the driver is expected to cover all property damage to the restaurant’s storefront.
The dining room at CuVee’s suffered extensive damage. Glass and debris covered the area near the window table where the creators had been sitting. The restaurant’s front facade will need significant repairs before that section can reopen.
Patrick and Nina proved their dedication to food content by returning later to finish their meal. They chose a table well away from any windows this time. Their video of the crash blew up online, with viewers amazed by the timing and their relatively minor injuries.
