Forsen’s latest Minecraft speedrun attempt lasted all of a few seconds. During a recent stream, the Swedish variety streamer spawned into a new world and almost immediately fell into lava, ending the run before it could even begin.

The moment occurred roughly one hour and 17 minutes into his livestream. After starting fresh, Forsen encountered lava extremely early in the attempt and quickly fell in, effectively wiping the run in record time.

Forsen has been grinding Minecraft speedruns on stream for extended periods since xQc beat his longstanding record. These starts place players near ocean structures like shipwrecks and buried treasure chests, which can provide iron and other materials faster than traditional mining routes.

Lava plays a dual role in Minecraft speedrunning. Runners often use it combined with water to create nether portals without mining all the obsidian blocks manually, saving precious seconds. But lava pools are also one of the most common run killers, especially when players move quickly through unfamiliar terrain.

Quick resets are standard practice in Minecraft speedrunning. If the spawn conditions aren’t ideal or an early mistake happens, runners often die intentionally or quit out to start fresh rather than continuing a doomed attempt.
