Forza Horizon 6 will reportedly launch on May 19 according to a new leak that surfaced online this week. The release date comes from billbil-kun, a leaker known for accurately revealing game release information and pricing details ahead of official announcements.
The leak includes a preview of the game’s cover art, though the image has been heavily censored with pixelation. Racing enthusiasts analyzing the blurred artwork believe the featured vehicle is a Toyota GR GT, confirming what we already knew, that Forza Horizon 6 will take players to Japan.
A Japan setting would mark a major shift for the series. Forza Horizon has previously explored locations including the UK in Forza Horizon 4 and Mexico in Forza Horizon 5. The country has topped fan wishlists for years thanks to its iconic car culture, mountain roads perfect for drift racing, and mix of urban and rural environments.
The leak also claims a €69.99 price point for the standard edition. That falls in line with typical AAA pricing in European markets and matches what Microsoft has charged for recent first-party releases.
Platform details remain murky. While the game is expected to launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC, a PlayStation 5 version hasn’t been confirmed. If it happens, speculation suggests it could arrive anywhere from three months to a year after the Xbox release based on Microsoft’s recent multiplatform strategies.
What we’re still waiting for
Litereally as of writing this Forza dropped a new official gameplay teaser trailer for us to feast on! With classics such as the GTR and Sakura trees, car meets in Forza 6 are going to be the best yet.
The May 19 date would put Forza Horizon 6 roughly three years after Forza Horizon 5 launched in November 2021. That timeline fits the series’ historical release pattern, though Playground Games has previously varied its schedule based on development needs.
