Awesome Games Done Quick 2026 has concluded after a weeklong speed running marathon that raised $2,443,414 for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. The annual charity event featured nonstop gaming from hundreds of speedrunners competing to complete games as fast as possible.
AGDQ is one of two major Games Done Quick marathons held each year. The event runs 24/7 for a full week in January and streams speedruns of everything from retro classics to brand-new releases. Viewers donate throughout the broadcast to unlock bonus content and influence gameplay choices through bid wars.
This year’s event featured speedruns on various games, from a blindfolded run of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask to a 70-person relay race through Super Mario 64, and a chaotic driving moment on American Truck Simulator.
The marathon hit its $2m milestone during the Hollow Knight: Silksong speedrun. AGDQ closed with a Pokemon Emerald run that let donations determine which Pokemon the runner had to use. All runs are available as individual VODs on YouTube.
