During a recent Twitch stream, a female guest appearing on Hasan Piker’s channel pointed out that his dog Kaya’s collar appeared too tight. The guest said she couldn’t fit a finger under the collar.
Piker responded that it looks that way because Kaya has “a lot of neck meat.” He then reached over to check the collar with his fingers and adjusted it on camera. Kaya remained on her usual mat during the interaction.
The clip circulating online shows Kaya wearing what appears to be multiple devices on her collar. Screenshots reveal a round module and a separate rectangular device with a green blinking light. The exact nature of these devices remains unclear from the footage.
At one point in the clip, Piker begins to say “It’s a…” before stopping mid-sentence without clarifying what the device is.
Standard pet care guidelines recommend the “two-finger rule” for collar fit. A collar should be snug enough to stay on but loose enough to slide two fingers between the collar and the dog’s neck. For thick-coated breeds or dogs with loose skin, experts often suggest harnesses or specialized collars for better fit.
The devices visible on Kaya’s collar could be several things. AirTag holders typically appear as circular mounts on collar straps. GPS trackers often feature rectangular modules with LED status lights. Training collars also use rectangular receivers with LEDs and typically include metal contact points, though these aren’t clearly visible in the circulated images.
A separate clip from an earlier stream has also circulated showing Kaya stepping off her mat, followed by a yelp and the dog returning to the mat. The cause of the yelp and any connection to the collar devices has not been confirmed.
Kaya is a large, long-haired Tibetan Mastiff who frequently appears on camera during Piker’s political commentary and variety content streams.
