HLE AD carry Gumayusi has officially confirmed his Worlds 2025 championship skin selections during a recent fanmeet. He chose Yunara and Miss Fortune as his two champions.
Miss Fortune will receive the Prestige edition. Gumayusi described her skin concept as “charismatic” to match her personality. Yunara’s skin will use a “cute” concept instead.
The Miss Fortune choice carries significant weight. Gumayusi’s Game 5 Miss Fortune performance in the Worlds 2025 finals clinched the series and earned him Finals MVP. Giving her the Prestige treatment makes sense when that single game defined his championship run.
Miss Fortune has never received a Worlds skin despite being one of League‘s original AD carries. She cycles in and out of competitive meta but has consistently appeared at major tournaments. Her massive AoE ultimate has decided countless teamfights across Worlds history.
Yunara joins a small group of champions who received Worlds skins in their first eligible year. She released shortly before Worlds 2025 and quickly became viable for competitive play. Gumayusi secured at least one win on her during the tournament.
The picks reflect Gumayusi’s previously stated rules for champion selection. He avoids champions that already have Worlds skins unless they’re Jhin. This eliminated options like Kai’Sa, Ashe, Xayah, and Varus from consideration despite being signature picks throughout his career.
He also said he would only pick Xayah if former teammate Keria picked Rakan for a matching duo skin. That condition never materialized.
Riot’s rules require Worlds skins to feature champions the player actually used during the tournament. This disqualified champions like Lucian and Jhin since Gumayusi didn’t play them at Worlds 2025. Other picks like Corki, Draven, and Ziggs either underperformed or failed to secure wins.
During the fanmeet, Gumayusi shared a personal reflection. When asked who he first thought of after winning, he answered “myself from the start of the year.” He expressed wanting next year to be more relaxed and enjoyable, saying he wants to play “happy LoL” going forward.
