Hutch has filed a report against Hasan Piker with Twitch after Hasan displayed content containing multiple creators’ real names and location details during a recent stream.
This happened when Hasan watched and showed content from political commentator BadEmpanada. The material included lists naming several political streamers alongside their real names and city-level location information. Some viewers claim street addresses were briefly visible in tweets shown on screen.
The lists were connected to discourse around Progressive Victory, a Democrat-aligned organization. BadEmpanada had highlighted portions of public filings that showed payees and vendors linked to the group. These documents included personal details of creators like Hunter Avallone, LonerBox, Dylan Burns, and others.
Hutch addressed the situation on his own stream. He stated he had reported Hasan for what he called an egregious violation of Twitch’s anti-doxxing policy. The platform’s rules prohibit sharing personal information without consent, even when that information might be publicly available elsewhere.
There’s ongoing dispute about exactly what was shown. Some viewers insist only city names appeared on stream. Others claim full street addresses were visible in at least one tweet before it was deleted. Multiple witnesses say Hasan paused at moments when these details were on screen, potentially increasing exposure time.
The safety implications are particularly serious for Hunter Avallone. He experienced a violent incident at his residence in late 2023, making any exposure of his location information especially concerning.
BadEmpanada’s tweets containing the lists were deleted following the stream. As of now, there has been no public response from Hasan about what happened. Twitch has not announced any enforcement action.
