Prime Gaming subscriptions work differently. They require users to manually resubscribe each month. That means Cenat’s sustained count comes almost entirely from paid Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 subscriptions that continue billing automatically.
Based on Twitch’s standard pricing, 39,000 subscribers could generate over $100,000 per month in revenue before Twitch’s cut. The actual figure varies depending on subscriber tiers, regional pricing, and Cenat’s specific revenue-sharing agreement with the platform.
Cenat built his massive subscriber base through high-energy variety streams and marathon broadcasting sessions. He’s one of Twitch’s biggest personalities and has previously set records during extended streaming events that drove massive spikes in both paid and gifted subscriptions.
The streak system keeps people subscribed
Twitch gamifies subscriptions through features like sub streaks and tenure badges. Users who maintain continuous subscriptions earn special badges and emotes that display their loyalty. Breaking that streak means losing those status symbols.
This creates an incentive to keep paying even when a creator isn’t actively streaming. For some subscribers, maintaining their streak takes priority over whether the channel is currently active.
