Dplus KIA completed a reverse sweep against T1 in the LCK Cup 2026 Playoffs lower bracket round three, winning three straight games after falling behind 0-2 to take the series 3-2. The loss eliminates T1 from the tournament while DK advance to face BFX in the next round.
T1 opened the series strong, taking Games 1 and 2 to put themselves one win away from advancing. But the series flipped entirely in the final three games as DK regained control.
The turning point came down to neutral objectives. DK jungler Lucid won the critical smite fights at dragon and baron pits in Games 3 through 5, repeatedly securing objectives that should have gone to T1.
T1 jungler Oner struggled badly with objective control in the comeback. Observers noted he lost eight smite fights across the final three games, failing to secure dragons and barons in contested moments.
Lucid locked in when it mattered most. His objective steals and secures gave DK the map control they needed to close out three consecutive wins, despite some individual struggles from other players on the roster.
The objective failures were especially glaring because T1 ran Kalista in multiple games. Kalista’s Rend ability combined with Smite should provide near-guaranteed objective security, but T1 still lost multiple dragons with both tools available. This pointed to deeper issues with pit setup and teamfighting rather than just missed Smite timings.
What’s next for the survivors
Reverse sweeps from 0-2 down are rare in best-of-five series because the trailing team must win three straight while their opponent needs just one. The comeback marks one of the few times in recent years that T1 have been reversed in playoff elimination scenarios.
DK now prepare for their lower bracket match against BFX.
