Political commentator Michael Beyer, better known as Mike from PA, has been temporarily banned from Twitch after making antisemitic remarks during a recent livestream. The controversial streamer referred to Jews as a “demonic ethnicity” in comments that were soon all over social media.
Twitch swiftly responded by suspending Mike’s channel, which now displays as “temporarily unavailable” when viewers attempt to access it. The exact duration of the ban remains unconfirmed, with speculation ranging from a few days to potentially longer.
This isn’t Mike from PA’s first brush with controversy. The left-leaning political streamer has built a reputation for his combative debate style and inflammatory remarks. His channel, which reportedly boasts just under 8,000 paying subscribers, has become a polarizing presence in the political streaming landscape.
The original video containing the offensive statement has been deleted, leaving only screen-recorded clips circulating online. According to the re-uploaded video, Mike’s comments came in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements about Jewish identity and ethnicity.
Twitch has faced ongoing criticism for inconsistency in enforcing its hate speech policies. The platform has previously banned streamers like Destiny for off-platform comments, Frogan for an “ethnic tier list,” and Asmongold for “inferior culture” remarks, all with varying durations and explanations.
This latest suspension comes amid heightened scrutiny of antisemitic content across streaming platforms. Several advertisers have recently increased pressure on platforms to respond more decisively to hate speech incidents.
