What made this suspension unusual wasn’t just the timing. Due to a technical quirk, Mizkif’s stream kept playing for some viewers even after the ban kicked in. This meant thousands of people heard what happened next.
Thinking he was offline, Mizkif called someone viewers identified as Pluto, a Twitch partner manager. The entire conversation played out live. “It’s because of the Charlie Kirk stuff,” the voice on the phone explained.
The accidental broadcast revealed details streamers rarely hear publicly. Mizkif expressed frustration about being banned during a sponsor activation. He worried it made him look unprofessional to advertisers.
Multiple viewers reported seeing a seven-day suspension notice that cited “making light” of violence. Mizkif initially thought it might be a copyright strike. The phone call cleared that up quickly.
