A former Twitch moderator for World of Warcraft streamer Nalipls is back behind bars after allegedly resuming stalking behavior immediately following his release from a previous conviction.
The suspect, identified in reports as Baltierra, was initially arrested and sentenced to two years for stalking and harassing Nalipls. After his release, he allegedly picked up right where he left off.
According to accounts of the case, Baltierra created hundreds of fake accounts across multiple platforms to contact the streamer. He allegedly spammed her livestream chats with abusive messages and posted crudely edited fake nude images of her online.
The harassment escalated before his second arrest. Baltierra allegedly sent direct messages to multiple people claiming he would create a “newsworthy event” at the next BlizzCon. The statement triggered concerns about potential threats at the gaming convention.
Following investigations into the renewed harassment campaign, authorities arrested Baltierra again. He is currently in jail awaiting court proceedings on the new charges.
The case points to a common pattern in stalking cases where perpetrators continue their behavior even after serving time. Baltierra’s position as a former moderator gave him direct access to Nalipls before the relationship soured into obsession.
Nalipls streams World of Warcraft content on Twitch and had trusted Baltierra with moderator privileges before the alleged stalking began. The moderator role typically involves managing chat and helping maintain community standards.
