Law enforcement found a deceased teenage girl in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to recording artist D4vd. The vehicle had been abandoned for weeks before being towed to a lot where the grim discovery was made.
The car was never reported stolen, according to TMZ reporting. Police initially said D4vd was cooperating with the investigation and had not been named a suspect at that time.
Authorities later identified the victim as a teenage girl who had been reported missing. Online discussions refer to her as “Celeste.” The identification shifted the nature of the case significantly.
Following the identification, allegations surfaced online about a relationship between D4vd and the victim while she was underage. Users shared screenshots of alleged Discord messages, social media posts, and photos claiming to show the two together. Some pointed to song lyrics and a leaked track titled “Celeste” as potential evidence of their connection.
The allegations include claims that D4vd wrote songs about the victim, had matching tattoos with her, and released music on her birthday. These claims remain unverified by authorities.
Before the victim’s identity became public, streamer Jasontheween defended D4vd. He suggested the artist might have been framed, noting D4vd was on tour when this happened.
After new details emerged identifying the victim as a minor and revealing the alleged relationship, Jason distanced himself. Users reported he unfollowed D4vd and canceled a scheduled appearance, though this hasn’t been independently confirmed.
FaZe Rain entered the conversation to defend Jason from criticism. Rain emphasized that Jason’s initial comments came before crucial information about the victim’s identity and the alleged relationship became public.
“From what we knew at the time, the car was sold, reported stolen and then ditched in a tow yard,” one user explained. “People assumed that someone stole the car off a lot somewhere to dump a body inside of, that’s why people were initially defending him.”
The investigation remains ongoing. No arrests have been publicly confirmed. The discovery raises questions about both the homicide and separate potential charges related to the alleged underage relationship.
D4vd, whose stage name is pronounced “David,” gained fame with tracks like “Here With Me” and “Romantic Homicide.” The 20-year-old Texas artist built his audience through gaming platforms before signing with Darkroom/Interscope.
Tesla vehicles are equipped with Sentry Mode cameras that could provide crucial evidence, depending on the car’s configuration and battery status during the abandonment period.
