Quin69 got more than he bargained for during a recent livestream when his AI coding session turned into an impromptu hearing test. The popular streamer was working with Claude 4.1 Opus through the Cursor IDE to develop a game when an explosion sound effect suddenly blasted at an ear-splitting volume, more than 20 decibels louder than the rest of the stream.
Neither Quin69 nor his audience was prepared for the audio assault. Viewers reported tearing off headphones and frantically lowering volume controls, with many claiming it was the loudest sound they’d ever experienced through their devices.
“Literally first time in my life I had to take my headphones off,” reported one viewer. “I keep volume pretty low so loud warning videos never bother me, but this was bonkers.”
The whole thing happened while Quin69 was deep into an AI-assisted coding session using an impressive tech stack including Godot, React, Express.js, Tailwind CSS, Redis, and Deno. The AI apparently took Quin’s energetic prompting style way too literally, generating code that set the explosion effect at max volume with zero proper volume limits.
Just before the deafening blast, the system warned: “NOW THOSE EXPLOSIONS WILL BLOW YOUR FUCKING SPEAKERS IF YOU’RE NOT CAREFUL!”—which proved 100% true seconds later.
Claude 4.1 Opus, one of the most advanced publicly available AI models, doesn’t come cheap. Viewers guessed Quin has paid anywhere from $250 to $900 on AI tokens for this project alone, given the model’s per-token fees.
