Los Ratones took down Shifters in Week 2 of LEC 2026 Versus stage despite falling far behind early. The win moves LR to 2-4 in the competition after they started the stage 0-4.

Shifters dominated the opening phase through a top-lane Nidalee pick that created massive pressure. The choice gave them a 2,000 gold lead just in the top lane and built into a substantial overall advantage. TheBausFFS on Gragas was solo killed in lane, continuing his streak of being solo killed in every game this stage.

But the early snowball never translated into a victory. Nidalee top excels at creating lane pressure and building gold leads, but struggles to convert that strength into late-game teamfights. Shifters grouped for five-versus-five battles instead of leveraging their champion’s split-push potential, allowing Los Ratones to reach critical item breakpoints.

Around 26 minutes, the game flipped. Nemesis on Ryze took over teamfights with precise positioning and damage output. TheBausFFS, who spent most of the game getting pressured, suddenly found devastating Gragas angles once he hit three items. His body slams and ultimates disrupted Shifters’ attempts to engage and close out the match.

Rekkles on Nami provided the glue that held everything together. His protective play and well-timed ultimates gave his carries the space to operate in crucial fights. The support role often goes unnoticed in highlight reels, but his peel work prevented Shifters from reaching LR’s backline.

The turning point came during a desperate base defense. Shifters pushed for the finish with their lead still intact, but Los Ratones held the line. A critical knock-up during a Baron-area fight shifted momentum completely. Nuc’s final Flash during the sequence backfired, and Shifters couldn’t recover.
