Sentinels dropped a teaser featuring a Hindi phrase alongside references to Global Esports, signaling a partnership between the North American powerhouse and the India-based organization.
The Hindi text reads “Sen city mei apka swagat h,” which translates to “Welcome to SEN City.” The inclusion of Global Esports in the teaser points to a collaboration meant to tap into India’s growing Valorant audience.
The partnership most likely centers on merchandise distribution. Sentinels CEO Rob Moore previously discussed plans to make SEN gear available in India through Global Esports, addressing the longstanding problem of expensive international shipping and customs fees that have made buying merch difficult for Indian fans.
By partnering with Global Esports, Sentinels can use GE’s local infrastructure to offer faster delivery, lower costs, and localized payment options. It’s a straightforward play to reach an underserved market that’s hungry for top-tier esports merchandise but gets hit with hefty import fees.
The timing also coincides with Sentinels’ recent signing of Jerrwin, a player of Indian origin. While some fans initially speculated the Hindi teaser was purely about the Jerrwin announcement, the explicit Global Esports reference suggests the collaboration goes beyond a single player signing.
More than just a hashtag
Global Esports competes in VCT Pacific and represents one of the most visible India-connected organizations in Valorant esports. Their existing retail operations and regional presence make them an ideal partner for Sentinels looking to expand their brand footprint in South Asia.
India has become an increasingly important market for Valorant, with a large player base that follows international teams despite geographic distance. Using Hindi in marketing materials signals Sentinels is serious about building direct connections with Indian fans rather than treating them as an afterthought.
