TL;DR
  • May 2024 stream footage shows Nina Lin restraining a man named Said while another woman performs sexual acts on him despite audible statements he is not consenting.
  • Said posted and deleted tweets saying he felt assaulted but wanted to avoid drama and briefly raised the issue again in October before deleting those posts too.
  • Lin recently denied wrongdoing on stream and said it would be embarrassing for a man to claim sexual assault while offering only a conditional apology.

Footage from a May 2024 IRL stream has resurfaced showing streamer Nina Lin physically restraining a man while another woman performs sexual acts on him despite apparent verbal objections from others present.

The clips show Lin holding down a man identified as Said, an assistant who frequently appears on IRL streams, while a woman identified as Zoe Spencer grinds on him. Audio from the stream captures Silky and Edward stating that Said is not consenting to what is happening.

Additional footage from the same broadcast appears to show Said being carried to a bed and attempts to remove his clothing. The same clip shows the two of them producing a condom during the stream, presumably to use on Said.

Viewers describe Said repeatedly trying to leave the situation, at one point hiding upstairs before being brought back. Said posted tweets shortly after it happened indicating he felt assaulted but deleted them to avoid drama.

During a recent stream addressing the situation, Lin disputed that sexual assault occurred and that she wouldn’t want to be Said’s friend because “he’s a bitch.”

She stated it would be “embarrassing” for a man to say he was sexually assaulted. Lin offered a conditional apology, saying “I’m sorry you felt disrespected,” while asserting she did not know he felt that way at the time.

When “Just a joke” isn’t funny

What happened highlights ongoing discussions about consent in streaming content and whether the same standards apply regardless of gender. Twitch’s Community Guidelines prohibit sexual content without consent and harassment that sexualizes someone against their will.

No public platform action has been taken regarding what happened. The original VOD remains available on YouTube, where viewers can still access the footage in question.

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault, resources are available through RAINN’s National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-4673.
