T1 and AD carry Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyung have parted ways following the team’s third straight Worlds championship. The split marks the end of a successful partnership that delivered multiple international titles.

Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan is expected to join as Gumayusi’s replacement, according to widespread reports from the Korean League scene. Peyz most recently played for JDG in the LPL after breaking out with Gen.G, where he won multiple LCK titles and the 2024 MSI championship.

Top laner Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon has re-signed with T1 for another year. The move stabilizes the top lane as the team transitions to a new bot lane duo.

Mid laner Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok remains under a long-term contract reportedly running through 2029. Jungler Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon and support Ryu “Keria” Min-seok are both under contract through the end of next season before entering free agency.

Gumayusi joined T1’s academy system in 2018 and was promoted to the main LCK roster during the 2020–2021 season. He became known for clutch objective steals and dominant teamfighting throughout T1’s recent championship runs.

The split comes as T1 navigates LCK salary cap constraints. The league implemented a salary cap system with luxury tax penalties for teams exceeding spending thresholds. Teams can qualify for discounts based on long-term service and outstanding performance, but managing the cap while retaining championship-caliber talent creates difficult roster decisions.

Peyz brings an aggressive laning style and proven championship pedigree. He paired with Lehends at Gen.G before his LPL stint with JDG. The 22-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best AD carries in the world and represents a plug-and-play replacement capable of matching Gumayusi’s mechanical ceiling.

The projected 2026 T1 roster features Doran in top lane, Oner in jungle, Faker in mid, Peyz at AD carry, and Keria on support. The core trio of Oner, Faker, and Keria remains intact as T1 looks to defend their title with a retooled bot lane.

What comes next for the champions

T1 has historically succeeded at retooling rosters while maintaining elite status. The organization cycled through Piglet, Bang, and Teddy before promoting Gumayusi, winning titles with each iteration.

Keria’s roaming and vision control have been central to T1’s recent dominance. His ability to create map pressure while Gumayusi played strong side allowed T1 to dictate games. The Peyz-Keria partnership will be tested early in the 2026 LCK Spring Split and at MSI.
