Team Vitality took down Los Ratones in Week 4 of LEC 2026 Versus in a chaotic back-and-forth game that featured multiple lead changes and critical mistakes.

The match started with Vitality making a statement in draft. They intentionally left Sion available for Baus despite it being one of his signature picks. Vitality top laner Naak Nako had reportedly indicated beforehand they’d give the pick and dare LR to beat them with it.

Los Ratones took full advantage early. They built a meaningful lead through aggressive dragon fights and superior early tempo. Velja turned in what many considered his best LEC performance yet on jungle Sylas. The pick looked genius against Vitality’s composition featuring champions like Alistar whose ultimates become powerful tools when stolen.

The game turned around a single mid-lane mistake. Crownie got caught pushing a wave solo around the mid-game mark. Vitality immediately converted the five-v-four into their first Baron of the match. The Baron buff gave them exactly what they needed. Time to scale.

Vitality’s composition featured late-game monsters in Azir and Dr. Mundo. Both champions become nightmares to deal with once they hit their item breakpoints. The Baron allowed them to close what had been roughly a 5,000 gold deficit and stall into their power spike.

Los Ratones still had a chance. They pushed for a final fight near Vitality’s mid inhibitor turret. That’s where everything fell apart.

The Mundo dive nobody asked for

Nemesis on Yone spotted Vitality’s Mundo at seemingly low health. He committed to a dive under the turret. The problem was simple. He took too many turret shots. Mundo survived with his ultimate and Nemesis died to turret damage.

With their mid laner down, Los Ratones lost the ensuing teamfight. Humanoid on Azir executed the fight cleanly. Vitality closed out the game moments later.

The result marked the first time any team defeated Los Ratones with Baus on Sion. It also put serious pressure on LR’s playoff qualification hopes heading into the remaining matches.
