The internet in the practice rooms at VALORANT Champions isn’t good, according to professional players attending the event.
Champions is the last and biggest event of the VALORANT Champions Tour season. Teams arrive with players, coaches, and analysts, and they use their practice time carefully.
A good connection helps with a lot of that work. Teams stream and download match footage, use browser-based planning tools, set up scrims with other teams, and share strategy documents with their staff.
Different tasks need different things from a connection. Watching VODs needs steady bandwidth. Playing online is more affected by ping, jitter, and packet loss. A network can be fine for one task and bad for another.
It’s also important to know that practice rooms and the competition stage often use different network setups. Nothing suggests that official matches, broadcasts, or results were affected. There’s also no proof that any team lost practice time or missed scrims because of the problem.
Login failed x3
Another fan remembered a similar experience at Ascension 2023, the event that gives Challengers teams a path into international league play. They said they had to log into ValoPlant and a scrim booking website to set up practice, and both logins failed three times. “Guess nothing has changed,” they wrote.
No official statement from Riot Games or the event operator has surfaced so far. It’s still unknown what caused the problem, how long it lasted, and whether it has been fixed.
