Ironmouse, one of the most well-known VTubers, has officially departed from VShojo and revealed that the agency is holding approximately $500,000 in charity funds meant for the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF). The Puerto Rican-American content creator made these claims in a video statement announcing her exit from the North American VTuber talent agency.
According to Ironmouse, the funds in question were raised during one of her marathon streaming events, known as a subathon. Unlike her other charity drives that used direct platforms like Tiltify where money transfers straight to the charity, this particular sum came from Twitch subscription and bit revenue that was routed through VShojo for processing.
“VShojo has successfully donated to the charity with my Twitch revenue before,” Ironmouse stated in her video, indicating that what’s happening now is a real change from how things were done previously. She limited her public comments to this specific issue, hinting that there were other factors behind her departure that she couldn’t talk about for legal reasons.
The allegations land with even more impact given Ironmouse’s personal connection to the cause. She has been open about her battle with Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID), which has made the Immune Deficiency Foundation a frequent focus of her charitable work.
Ironmouse’s exit comes after several other well-known VShojo members left in recent months, including GEEGA, Zentreya, and MataraKan. This pattern points to deeper problems behind the scenes in the agency, which was founded in 2020 by Justin “Gunrun” Ignacio and co-founder Mowtendoo.
The timing is especially rough for VShojo, which has built its reputation as a creator-friendly agency where talents can keep ownership of their own characters. Holding onto charity money could bring legal trouble, especially if the money was advertised as going to charity or claimed as a tax deduction.
VShojo hadn’t put out an official statement about these claims at the time we published this article, although Ironmouse has been removed from their talent page. Their silence is only leading to more questions about how the agency handles its finances.
People in the VTubing community are calling this one of the biggest controversies to hit the scene. This whole situation not only puts a dent in VShojo’s reputation, but also makes people wonder about how open agencies are when it comes to handling money raised for charity in the streaming world.
