IShowSpeed claimed the top prize at The Streamer Awards 2025 on Saturday night, winning Streamer of the Year for the second year running.

The YouTube creator beat out Kai Cenat, Plaqueboymax, and ExtraEmily to take home the award at the annual ceremony hosted by QTCinderella. Speed was present in person to accept the trophy, which fellow streamer Dontai presented on stage.

His acceptance speech was brief. Instead of a long thank-you, Speed let his actions speak louder. Immediately after grabbing the award, he performed a full layout backflip on stage in his formal outfit—dress pants, dress shoes, and all.

The crowd erupted. The backflip was clean, with serious hang time and a smooth landing. Speed walked off stage right after, trophy in hand.

This back-to-back win solidifies Speed’s position at the top of streaming. The Streamer Awards combines fan voting with a panel of judges, making it one of the most recognized honors in the creator space.

Speed’s 2024–2025 run has been massive. His international IRL streams—including trips to China and other countries—have drawn hundreds of thousands of live viewers. His “Speed Goes Pro” series, where he trains with professional football teams, has become a regular hit. His obsession with Cristiano Ronaldo and football culture has made him a global phenomenon beyond just gaming.

Both Speed and Kai Cenat attending the ceremony this year marked a shift for The Streamer Awards. Previous years saw some winners skip the show, but having two of the biggest names in streaming physically present added weight to the event. The broadcast peaked at around 800,000 concurrent viewers across multiple co-streams.

The win comes at a perfect time. With the 2026 FIFA World Cup coming to North America next year, Speed’s football-focused content is positioned to explode even further. Fans are already predicting he’ll routinely hit a million concurrent viewers during major matches.
