The journey of Félix "xQc" Lengyel
Félix Lengyel's journey to stardom was not an overnight success. Starting his streaming career in 2015 at just 19 years old, xQc played League of Legends under the name xQcLoL. Over time, his alias evolved to xQcOW to represent his Overwatch connection, and he quickly made a name for himself in the esports community.
Félix's career finally took off when he joined Denial Esports and later formed his own team, Arc 6. During their time together, they took part in Season Zero of Overwatch Contenders. In 2017, he got the chance to represent Team Canada in the Overwatch World Cup. They advanced to the finals but were unable to overcome the mighty team from South Korea.
Luckily for Lengyel though, he was named the tournament's most valuable player, which set the stage for his professional esports career.
Beginnings of xQc's streaming career
Scandals and controversies have become almost a rite of passage for many streamers, and xQc is no exception. He's notorious for his blunt comments and explosive outbursts, frequently getting into heated online debates with creators like Hasan and Destiny.
The controversy that started it all off, took place in 2018. While playing for the Dallas Fuel, xQc faced multiple suspensions for offensive remarks. As you probably know if you've seen literally any of his streams, the Canadian has a tendency to stir the pot. Some of his most well-known moments are where he is calling out other streamers or diving into contentious topics like free speech.
After leaving Dallas Fuel, xQc used his background in gaming and shifted to streaming. In February 2019, he joined Sentinels as a content creator and quickly became one of Twitch's top variety streamers.
But it wasn’t just smooth sailing for our boy. xQc had his share of troubles, including a brief Twitch ban in 2019 for streaming explicit content, and another in 2020 for stream sniping during a Twitch event. Twitch disqualified him and issued a temporary ban for targeting fellow streamers DrLupo and Shroud. He also received a six-month suspension from Twitch Rivals events.
Despite—or because of—all this, xQc gained popularity, ending 2020 as the Twitch's most-watched streamer. In 2021, he just kept getting more juice. He continued blowing up online, racking up millions of hours watched and solidifying his spot as the most-watched streamer for a second year in a row.

xQc's net worth
xQc's current estimated net worth is an impressive $50 - $70 million. This substantial wealth mainly comes from his activities on Twitch, Kick, and YouTube.
Notably, xQc earned a remarkable $8 million from Twitch payouts between 2019 and 2021. This excludes income from sponsorships, merchandise sales, and other online platforms. He also signed a $100 million dollar non-exclusive contract with Kick that made headlines.
A preference for luxury cars
Luckily, Félix is not short of ideas when it comes to spending his money. Two years ago, xQc has added yet another luxury vehicle to his collection: a $300,000 McLaren 720s Spider. Even though there's one catch: He doesn’t even have a license. And that wasn't his last extravagant purchase.
Since then, xQc added a brand-new BMW X6 M Competition to his car collection, commonly priced around $110,000. While fans questioned his choice over a Lamborghini Urus, xQc defended his decision. He highlighted the BMW's unique perks, including its racecar-like performance with 617 horsepower—he can’t even drive them anyway!
How xQc got hooked on gambling streams
Around this same time, xQc started to dive into gambling streams. It all started with a popular trend, or "meta," on Twitch. The "meta" is the current trend on the homepage, and casino streams became popular attractions. The thrill of big wins, crushing losses, and the excitement of the unknown got viewers to click again and again.
We all know that xQc is always one to jump on new trends, so gambling streams it was. And guess what? It didn’t take long for him to get hooked. The combination of slot machines, excitement for big wins, and xQc's high-stakes bets created an exciting and entertaining experience.
xQc's viewers clearly loved the rollercoaster of emotions too, because his streams quickly became must-watch events raking in hundreds of thousands of concurrent viewers.
The rise of Kick
Since then, Félix—along with other notable streamers—have been having a vocal falling out with their host Twitch. From not supporting their creators enough financially, implementing a new policy that limits what options streamers have for brand deals, to charging streamers unreasonable fees—the platform has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
It appears the beginning of the downfall was when Twitch made the ethical decision, and actively banned gambling streams. Some of the largest creators like Trainwreckstv, Adin Ross, and xQc were forced to stop promoting online casinos and take down their past streams.
Instead of adapting to Twitch's new regulations or going back to their old content, they switched to another streaming platform.
xQc’s $100m Kick deal
In June 2023, xQc announced his move to Kick, a relatively new streaming platform at the time. This decision was propelled by the previously mentioned $100 million non-exclusive contract over two years, one of the largest deals in streaming history.
The money was undeniably a significant factor—but the best part? The contract is non-exclusive. Meaning he can continue to stream on Twitch and YouTube. This, on top of rumored equity in the company, is a deal xQc couldn’t turn down.
But even with all of the money in the world, it didn’t solve the problems that he was having with his long-time partner and wife, Adept at the time.

The xQc Adept divorce drama
If you hadn’t heard of Adept before this drama, you’re not the only one. But the ongoing drama surrounding xQc and his long-term relationship with fellow streamer Adept has taken another twist. As the duo continues to air their grievances in public, even their friends are getting involved in the feud.
It all started when xQc and Adept publicly broke up in 2022. They eventually got back together, but by March 2023, xQc revealed that they had split once again. He stated that he had made a difficult choice between Adept and his family, and chose the latter.
However, the story didn't end there. Legal battles ensued when it was revealed that Adept had filed for divorce during this time, asserting that they had been in a "common law marriage".
But wait, there’s another twist? At the same time, xQc also confirmed a relationship with FRAN, an Overwatch streamer. A few weeks later, xQc alleged that Adept had entered his home without notice.
FRAN breaks her silence
On August 13, 2023, FRAN decided to step into the spotlight, addressing the public rumors that had dragged her personal life into the open. With the aid of illustrations, she detailed her perspective on the timeline of events. Alongside confirming xQc's infidelity, FRAN dropped the bombshell that Adept suggested that xQc had been physically abusive.
FRAN denied this accusation, asserting that xQc had never been abusive or even physical towards her. At one point in her video, she even compared Adept to a "serial killer" because of her emotionless demeanor during their interactions together.
xQc comes clean about cheating
Even after FRAN spoke out, some viewers were still skeptical regarding xQc's infidelity—until FRAN decided to confront him on Discord. Eventually the truth came out, and xQc admitted to cheating.
Later that day on his own stream, xQc addressed his unfaithfulness, admitting, "I was being dumb as bricks. It just felt to me like I wouldn't get that again, in the future." However, he categorically denied any allegations of physical abuse, firmly stating, "I will not stand for that. In all of my relationships, whether it's with friends or romantic partners, I have never been physically abusive."
Adept's claim of a lost pregnancy
Afterwards, Jesse, one of xQc's friends, revealed on X that Adept was allegedly swindling xQc for his money. The rumor came from a mention that Adept might be or have been pregnant with his baby.
Adept was taken aback by Jesse's public disclosure and made a statement. She chastised him on stream for making this private information public. She argued that, "if someone claims to be pregnant and then they're not pregnant, what does that imply? It implies either a miscarriage or an abortion."
To put an end to this slew of drama that xQc was involved in, he took to X to address the ongoing drama one last time. Félix acknowledged his own faults and mistakes but refuted the physical abuse rumors. He declared them "completely untrue and nothing will validate them".
To finish it off, he hinted at Adept's motive by punctuating his tweet with a bag of cash emoji, suggesting that Adept might have ulterior motives.
