Stephen Root has confirmed that he is part of Grand Theft Auto VI.
Soon after, Rockstar Games allegedly emailed actors working on the game. The reported message reminded them that their nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) are still in effect.
Root is one of the most familiar faces and voices in comedy. He played Milton in Office Space, Jimmy James in NewsRadio, and Monroe Fuches in Barry. He also voiced Bill Dauterive in King of the Hill.
Some fans say they recognized his voice in the game’s trailers before the news broke. Others say they missed him completely.
Beyond the trailers and extensive gameplay video, the studio has shared very little about Grand Theft Auto VI. Official cast details remain almost entirely under wraps.
