xQc challenged QTCinderella’s recent explanation of the dog collar controversy surrounding Hasan Piker and his dog Kaya.
During a stream, QT addressed the situation by confirming the collar is a shock-capable e-collar. She stated that the metal prongs were removed and the area was taped over. According to QT, Hasan uses only the vibration function rather than the shock setting.
xQc rejected this explanation outright. He argued that the dog’s audible yelp in the viral clip is not consistent with vibration use. He also pointed to visuals showing tape on the collar and a remote device on Hasan’s desk, saying these details don’t support the “vibration-only” narrative.
The original controversy stems from a clip showing Kaya yelping as Hasan appeared to reach toward a handheld device. The footage drew immediate scrutiny about whether electric stimulation was used.
Critics have questioned why someone would purchase a shock-capable collar if they only intended to use vibration. Others note that QT’s description contradicts earlier claims that no tape was present on the collar.
Some observers argue that tape on a high-contact surface like a dog collar wouldn’t last long if applied well before the viral incident. This has fueled speculation about when modifications were made.
Neither Hasan nor QT have issued formal statements clarifying the timeline or providing additional documentation. No platform enforcement action has been reported.
