Laure Valée, one of the most familiar faces on LEC broadcasts, has announced she’s starting maternity leave. She says she’ll be away from League of Legends broadcasts until 2027. The French presenter is expecting a child with former pro top laner Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu.
This is a pause, not an exit. Valée hasn’t announced a departure from the LEC or from esports, and no exact return date has been given. “Until 2027” leaves plenty of room, so treat any specific comeback date as guesswork until she or Riot says otherwise.
Valée has been part of Riot’s European coverage for years, through the EU LCS era, the 2019 rebrand to the League of Legends European Championship, and the current League of Legends EMEA Championship name.
Her job has covered pre- and post-match interviews, player and coach chats, desk segments, and on-site reporting, plus international events. For a huge chunk of viewers, especially in France, she has been the human link between the English-language broadcast and the players themselves.
Riot hasn’t announced who will cover her duties, and LEC talent lineups shift between splits and international events anyway, so there may not be a single direct replacement.
