A dachshund named Pea has become the latest viral sensation after appearing in a clip that shows her seemingly playing League of Legends during a live match. The small dog appears to make inputs during gameplay while piloting Yuumi, the game’s support champion known for attaching to allied players.
The clip frames Pea as capable of contributing to an actual League of Legends match through simple actions, by pressing three buttons arranged by her human, streamer Poopernoodle.
Yuumi is central to why this stunt works at all. The champion’s entire kit revolves around attaching to teammates, which eliminates the need for precise movement and positioning that most League champions demand. Once attached, Yuumi can cast supportive abilities without navigating the map independently, making her the perfect candidate for unconventional control schemes.
This design has made Yuumi a frequent target of “low mechanical skill” jokes in the League community, though effective play still requires game knowledge and timing. The champion’s accessibility has also made her popular for novelty gameplay experiments involving unusual peripherals or creative control setups.
The gaming community has latched onto the absurdity of the concept. The most repeated joke centers on a dog literally playing a cat champion. Others have flipped the common League insult about bad teammates being “dogs” into a literal scenario, imagining the frustration of discovering your support is an actual canine.
