LYON fell short in the final against Team Liquid, and Dhokla isn’t pretending otherwise.
LYON’s top laner shared his thoughts on the series after the loss. Team Liquid won in four games.
Most of the attention after the final went to the top-lane matchup. Liquid’s Morgan had the stronger series overall, and Dhokla often struggled to turn good moments into a real lead.
He also had to deal with a lot of pressure. Liquid’s jungler spent plenty of time on the top side and visited Dhokla’s lane often in about half the games.
The series wasn’t one-sided for him, though. Dhokla had his best game in Game three, which was LYON’s lone win. Isles also played a key role in that game on Alistar.
Game four was harder to watch. Late in the game, Dhokla was caught out several times while LYON tried to keep the series alive.
He still made some plays for his team. In one fight around Baron, he pulled both Liquid’s Kalista and Lee Sin onto himself. That gave his teammates room to play the objective.
Not just a top-lane problem
Berserker, usually one of LYON’s biggest threats, had a quieter series than normal. Across his Xayah, Yunara, and Caitlyn games, LYON’s bot lane never became the advantage the team usually relies on.
Saint was a bright spot. On Syndra, Ryze, Viktor, and Twisted Fate, the mid laner did a lot of the work to keep LYON in games.
Losing the final doesn’t end LYON’s year. The team had already secured a spot at the League of Legends World Championship before the final.
