Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI are set to go live on June 25, available through major digital storefronts and select retailers. It’s the first real purchasing milestone for Rockstar’s long-awaited sequel after years of teasers, leaks, and trailer obsession.
The date marks the moment the GTA VI rollout shifts from hype mode into actual sales. Expect listings to appear on the PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store, alongside physical pre-orders at participating retailers.
The biggest unanswered question is pricing. AAA games moved to $69.99 during the current console generation, and GTA VI is widely seen as the title that could push the ceiling higher. Whether Rockstar sticks to $70 or tests an $80 or $90 standard price is the detail publishers, retailers, and players will be watching closely.
Edition tiers are the other big unknown. Rockstar hasn’t confirmed any deluxe, gold, or collector’s editions, but multi-tier rollouts are now standard practice for blockbuster releases. Possible extras include steelbooks, in-game currency, cosmetics, and early access, the last of which has become common across major launches but has never been used for a mainline GTA.
Once listings go live, the key details to look out for are pricing by region, edition contents, preload timing, file size, whether physical copies include the classic printed map, and any mention of GTA Online. A new trailer or screenshot drop alongside pre-orders is possible but not confirmed.
