IRL streamer Inna Solo had an uncomfortable break in her broadcast this week after a group of children repeatedly approached her table at a Popeyes in Italy.

Solo was seated, eating, and streaming when the kids walked up to her. Instead of leaving, they kept coming back and hovering around her spot.

She tried to defuse it. Solo offered to buy the group food. That offer didn’t seem to interest them. They stayed close to her table anyway, which is when she started keeping a much closer eye on her gear.

Shortly after, at least one of the children appeared to reach for and handle the device recording the stream. Solo reacted fast and kept hold of it.

Online, the clip has been widely labeled an attempted robbery. That framing goes further than what the video actually shows. What’s visible is an unwanted encounter and apparent interference with her filming setup. The children’s ages, identities, and motives remain unconfirmed, and the exact city and Popeyes branch haven’t been identified either.

This is the ugly side of IRL streaming. The camera is usually a phone or a handheld rig, held in the open for hours, often visibly expensive. The streamer is splitting attention between chat, the surroundings, and whatever they are doing: in this case, eating fried chicken. That makes the gear an easy target for anyone looking for an opportunity.

Solo hasn’t made a detailed public statement about the encounter, and no comment from the restaurant or local police was available at the time of writing.
