A purported trophy list for Marvel’s Wolverine seemingly gives away boss names, story beats, and collectibles weeks before anyone was supposed to see them.
Insomniac Games then posted a spoiler-free version of the trophy list, without revealing names and descriptions.
Spoiler warning: the rest of this article discusses character names and objectives that appear in the leaked list.
Five bosses get their own trophies
According to the leak, five opponents have character-specific trophies attached to them:
- Sabretooth: one trophy reportedly asks players to destroy every vendor stall during his boss fight, hinting at a market or street arena.
- Omega Red: the Soviet super-soldier with carbonadium tentacles and an energy-draining “death factor.”
- Lady Deathstrike: Yuriko Oyama, the cybernetic warrior with a very personal grudge involving adamantium.
- A prototype Sentinel: note the word “prototype,” which suggests an early model rather than the towering mutant-hunters from the comics.
- Essex: as in Nathaniel Essex, better known as Mister Sinister.
Essex is the big one. He’s a geneticist obsessed with mutation, cloning, and controlled evolution, which lines up neatly with Logan’s altered body and Weapon X history. Several people reading the list assumed he’s the main or final villain, but the wording described so far doesn’t confirm that. Claims about casting for the role are also unverified.
Whiskey, Nightmare Doors, and repressed memories
The list also points to collectibles. Whiskey bottles are apparently scattered around the world, which is about as on-brand for Logan as it gets.
More interesting are the “Nightmare Doors.” A trophy reportedly asks players to complete all of them, and doing so unlocks a “repressed memory.” A separate trophy refers to uncovering Wolverine’s past, suggesting two different revelations rather than one.
There’s reportedly no trophy tied to a specific difficulty setting. Between story completion, collectibles, and a handful of situational objectives, it looks like a fairly relaxed Platinum, in line with Insomniac’s Spider-Man games.
