ohnePixel is putting together a Valorant tournament, and it’ll be built around one of the game’s new modes rather than a standard five-vs.-five Spike match.
The event is set to run on September 18, 2026, with a cashprize of $50,000.
Regulars point out that he’s shown real interest in Valorant for a while and doesn’t treat it as a punchline, which is rarer than it should be given how much CS versus Valorant banter still flies around. Some fans are already asking for Fnatic’s Boaster to show up on his team, although nobody involved has confirmed anything.
The choice of a new mode is the interesting part. Riot regularly rotates in alternate modes that change the objective, the pace, the weapon rules, or the ability system, and they almost never get the tournament treatment. A creator bracket is a cheap and fast way to show one off to an audience that might not watch VCT at all.
