When Spilled launched, the plan was bold. Gaming, streaming, and esports culture was scattered across Reddit threads, Discord servers, and a hundred open tabs. Spilled wanted to be the one place that pulled it all together: fast, sharp, and actually fun to read.
We built that, and you showed up for it. Thank you.
The internet changed the rules mid-match
Here’s the honest version. The internet didn’t stop caring about gaming news. It just stopped sending people to the places that write it.
AI-generated answers now sit on top of search results and summarize reporting without the reader ever leaving the page. Algorithm updates keep favoring giant, established brands, no matter who broke the story first. And every platform, from search engines to social feeds, would rather keep people scrolling than send them somewhere else.
For a small team, that’s not a fair fight. So instead of grinding against a lopsided leaderboard to pull readers back to a website, Spilled is switching servers. If the audience lives in the feed, that’s where the stories belong.
Same mission, different map
From now on, Spilled lives on social media. The website stays up as an archive, but new stories, clips, and takes will land on YouTube, TikTok, Threads, Instagram, and Bluesky. The goal hasn’t moved an inch: bring you the latest in gaming, streaming, and esports, fast and with personality.
Maybe Spilled returns here one day. For now, following along is the best way to stay in the inner circle. See you in the feed.
