Tyler1 has set his sights on his biggest League of Legends side event yet. The streamer praised Faker as an “iconic figure” who has “consistently maintained his position at the top,” calling him the “perfect role model” for the game.
In the same breath, Tyler1 floated a new idea: pulling together the best 1v1 players from Korea, North America, and Europe for a cross-regional showdown later this year. He admitted he tends to act on a whim, so the plan sounds more like intent than a locked-in announcement, but the ambition is clear.
Tyler1 isn’t starting from zero. His regional 1v1 tournaments across NA, EU, and Korea have already built up their own storylines and breakout names. Solarbacca has been dominating NA with a Gangplank nobody can answer. Alois and Peng made noise in Europe, with Diamondprox showing up for a strong run. The Korean bracket, featuring names like Burdol, Irelking, and Loki, was widely seen as the most aggressive and mechanically sharp of the three.
Umti has also been helping Tyler1 host the Korean side of the event, and former pro Brohan has popped up in the broadcast ecosystem Tyler1 is building. Baus vs Brohan on EUW is already being thrown around as one of the highlights so far.
