A promotional banner for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced briefly appeared inside Ubisoft Connect. The in-app advertisement showed Edward Kenway sporting gold-themed gear and weapons alongside text encouraging players to “replay this classic swashbuckling adventure.”
The banner appears to be scheduled marketing material that surfaced ahead of an official announcement. Multiple users spotted the promotional artwork in Ubisoft’s PC launcher before it was pulled.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag originally launched in 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360. The pirate-themed entry remains one of the franchise’s most beloved installments thanks to its naval combat and Caribbean exploration.
The industry has seen a wave of remakes and remasters as publishers look to bridge gaps between major new releases. Ubisoft has been particularly active in this space as they build out their Ubisoft+ subscription service with catalog content.
Whether “Resynced” represents a full remake or an enhanced remaster remains unclear. The marketing materials alone don’t confirm the scope of changes players can expect.
