Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown has been arrested after firing a gun into a crowd during a boxing event hosted by livestreamer Adin Ross. Everything was caught on multiple livestreams, starting when Brown was reportedly attacked by several people at the venue.
Video shows Brown getting “jumped” before things went way off the rails. After the initial brawl, Brown is seen pulling out a gun and shooting into the crowd, with people panicking both at the event and watching online.
Clips going viral online show people screaming and running for cover. In one video, Brown spins around after the fight with his weapon out, and then you can hear shots ring out. The streamers quickly reacted, yelling and trying to get out as everything happened live.
Police responded right away and took Brown into custody. Right now, there are no reports of anyone getting hurt from the gunfire, although the police are still looking into it.
This is just the latest headline involving Brown, whose NFL career was a mix of big plays and trouble off the field. The former Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout has had a string of legal problems and unpredictable behavior since leaving the league. Some people think his issues could be connected to possible CTE from his football days.
What happened also brings up big concerns about security at livestreamed events. Ross, who’s made a name for himself by hosting star guests and packed boxing cards for giant online audiences, hasn’t issued any kind of public statement so far about how someone brought a gun into the building.
Brown is now looking at potentially serious criminal charges after bringing and firing a weapon at a public event. The whole thing was streamed from several angles, so there’s a ton of video evidence to choose from whenever this goes to court.
