Stills and a short clip from the unreleased trailer for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced have leaked online, beating Ubisoft to its own reveal by several days.

The leaked material shows updated footage of Edward Kenway, a dramatic close-up of Blackbeard, a glimpse of Adewale, and ship-focused naval sequences set against a much richer Caribbean backdrop.

The upgrade appears massive. Water simulation, lighting, facial detail, and atmosphere all look a generation beyond the 2013 original, which launched on PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U before moving to newer hardware.

There’s also strong evidence this is a faithful revisit rather than a reinvention. Several shots seem to mirror the original game’s marketing trailer, including what sounds like Blackbeard’s iconic monologue, pointing to a near shot-for-shot recreation of the 2013 reveal.

The “Resynced” branding fits the franchise’s Animus lore neatly, hinting at a full remake rather than a quick remaster. Rumors of a Black Flag revival have circulated since 2023, and the leak lines up with promotional art Ubisoft had already begun teasing. A July launch has been floated, but nothing on release timing, platforms, or pricing is confirmed.
