Destiny’s Twitch channel briefly appeared to be unbanned after four years, one month, and 29 days off the platform, before quickly slipping back into a banned state.

The political streamer’s page became accessible just long enough for viewers to notice it was alive, with some users managing to load the channel before it went dark again. Multiple reports placed the re-ban at roughly 1:15 PM PST, only minutes after the apparent restoration was first spotted.

It’s unclear whether the brief unban was an intentional reversal, an internal moderation slip, or a technical hiccup that was rolled back the moment it was noticed.

Destiny was one of Twitch’s earliest big-name livestreamers, originally rising through StarCraft II and League of Legends content before pivoting almost fully into political debate and commentary. His indefinite Twitch suspension dates back to March 2022, making it one of the longest-running bans tied to a major political creator. Destiny has previously said the ban was linked to Twitch’s hateful conduct policy, though Twitch never publicly detailed its reasoning.

Since then, he’s kept his operation running on YouTube, Kick, and his own site, but the Twitch ban also blocked him from appearing on other Twitch streams without putting those creators at risk under the platform’s rules on featuring banned users.

A genuine reinstatement would’ve been a real shake-up for Twitch’s political streaming scene, potentially opening the door for Destiny to guest on channels he’s been locked out of for years.
