Twitch personality Erobb learned a painful lesson about respecting wildlife when a small barracuda bit him directly on the nose during a recent fishing livestream.
The bite happened while Erobb, whose real name is Eric Lamont Robbins, was fishing with friends in what viewers identified as Boynton Beach, Florida.
Despite clear warnings about the fish’s sharp teeth and chance of a bite, Erobb decided to hold the thrashing barracuda close to his face to get a better camera shot. In the clip, someone can be heard cautioning, “watch out for its teeth” just before Erobb brings the fish right up by his face.
This mess-up adds to Erobb’s growing reputation for goofy on-camera misadventures. The streamer, who is the younger brother of fellow content creator Tyler1, has built a community that often cheers his cartoonish bad luck during IRL streams.
Wildlife experts say even small barracudas can deliver painful bites with their razor-sharp teeth. While they aren’t venomous, barracuda bites can cause deep cuts and potential infections if not properly treated. Erobb seems to have dodged a serious injury here, but handling predatory fish is definitely something to be careful about.
The fishing charter company visible on a crew member’s shirt in the video confirmed the location as Florida waters, where run-ins with these aggressive fish are common among fishing fans.
