Sebastian “Forsen” Fors has done it again. The Swedish streamer looked set for one of his best Minecraft speedrun attempts in ages, only to torch the whole thing by stepping into a tiny lava source block in the Overworld.
Moments before the disaster, Forsen told his chat he had a “potentially god run” on his hands. In speedrunning terms, that usually means a strong spawn, quick access to key structures, and solid early loot. By the sound of it, this one had all the ingredients.
He also had enchanted gear, including a pair of boots with Frost Walker. That is why viewers saw water turning into frosted ice around his feet as he moved. The enchantment freezes water blocks into temporary ice, letting players cross lakes and rivers without swimming.
It is not a must-have for speedrunning, but it looked cool on stream. Right until it did not. Forsen stepped on a block of lava, setting his character on fire. Within moments, his health was gone, abruptly ending what had been shaping up to be a “god run.”
Mistakes like this are common in Minecraft. One wrong step can be fatal, and that’s what makes it so frustrating, since it is often something that could have been easily avoided.
