VTubers are taking off on Twitch and ironmouse is at the forefront of the hype. The world’s biggest English speaking VTuber just shattered Twitch records by becoming the most subscribed streamer of all time.
During an epic Subathon, her loyal fanbase, known as the Ironmouse Defense Force, rallied to push the streamer’s subscriber count past the 300,000 mark. The charity Subathon turned into an unmatched success even though it almost seemed like it was about to be shut down due to DMCA claims last Friday.
The Puerto Rican streamer’s journey from being bedridden to breaking Twitch records is nothing short of inspiring. ironmouse, who was once reliant on oxygen and a feeding tube due to her own immune deficiency disease, has defied the odds.
With improved health, she is able to walk short distances and enjoy certain foods again. And she made sure to celebrate with the most successful Subathon in history.
During the event, ironmouse gained up to 20,000 subscribers per hour, landing at a total of 314,000. The Subathon wasn’t just about breaking records, though. Half of the proceeds will go to the Immune Deficiency Foundation.
This record puts ironmouse ahead of previous record-holder Kai Cenat (306,000 subscribers). It’s a significant moment for the VTubing community, proving that virtual creators can compete with—and surpass—traditional streamers.
ironmouse’s success goes beyond numbers. Her story has also brought attention to CVID and the Immune Deficiency Foundation, raising awareness for people with the condition.
The streamer already shared plans to support more charitable causes through her streams in the future. It’s great to see communities on Twitch supporting each other for a good cause and ironmouse proved that a virtual avatar can make a very real difference in the world.
