xQc gets launched out of a car after a rollover crash on NoPixel

Turns out that seatbelt keybind is there for a reason.

TL;DR
  • xQc was riding with a player identified as Omie on NoPixel when their car clipped a barrier and rolled across the road.
  • He hadn't activated the server's seatbelt mechanic and was thrown out of the vehicle during the crash.
  • Viewers say the impact looked different on Omie's screen, pointing to possible desync, though nothing has been confirmed by NoPixel.

A normal drive on NoPixel ended in the air for Félix “xQc” Lengyel, whose character was thrown out of a moving car after it flipped during a GTA V roleplay stream.

The clip shows xQc riding in a vehicle with a fellow NoPixel player Omie. The car clipped a roadside barrier, lost stability, and tumbled across the street. xQc apparently hadn’t activated the server’s seatbelt mechanic, so his character was flung out of the vehicle mid-roll.

Viewers who watched both xQc and Omie’s streams said the collision didn’t line up. From Omie’s perspective, the car allegedly never made contact with the barriers, yet it still started rolling into the road.

That mismatch is likely due to desync. In an online server, every client renders vehicle positions and collisions using data sent over the network. Latency, server load, and physics calculations can make the same crash look different on two screens. One player sees a clean pass, the other sees a wall.

Buckle up

NoPixel runs custom scripts that let players buckle in while inside a vehicle, and going without one can send your character straight through the windshield in a hard enough crash. The belt usually has to be reactivated every time you enter a new car, which is exactly the kind of detail that gets forgotten mid-conversation.

Even with a seatbelt, the car probably still would’ve rolled. The difference is that xQc would’ve stayed inside it.
